Qigong (pronounced "chee- goong") is an ancient Chinese system of cultivating or strengthening the body's Qi, or life energy. Qigong is also sometimes spelled as Chi Kung, or Chi Gong. "Qi" can be translated as life force energy. "Gong" can be translated as practice, or cultivation. So, practicing Qigong is the practice of cultivating life energy. Qigong practices consist of various movements, exercises, breathing techniques, and healing techniques, as well as meditation and energy balancing methods.Practicing Qigong can strengthen and balance your Qi, leading to better health, decreased stress, deep relaxation, emotional balance, higher levels of consciousness, and ultimately, to enlightenment.
